摘要
Organic chemists now have a much better understanding of the mechanism of copper catalysis,thank to the recent work by Shen,Hartwig,and Xue published in Science [1].In this work,Shen’s team demonstrated,that well-defined,isolable organocopper(Ⅲ) complexes can be synthesized through the oxidative addition of alkyl electrophiles to copper(1) species.This elemental step has been widely proposed as a key step in copper-catalyzed cross-coupling of alkyl electrophiles (Fig.1).
