博观而约取,厚积而薄发——古建保护教育先行者臧尔忠

ZANG Erzhong,Pioneer of Ancient Building Conservation Education

臧尔忠先生在北京建筑工程学院(今北京建筑大学)执教四十载,融会建筑历史研究成果和古建保护实践经验,倾毕生所学投身建筑历史研究和古建筑保护教育。在中国建筑构造教学、文物建筑保护人才培养和古建筑保护工程实践领域均取得了突出的成就。他不仅是北京建筑大学建筑遗产保护教育的奠基者和引路人,也是我国历史建筑学者风范的代表。借他一百周年诞辰之际,本文通过梳理他的生平履历,回顾他的学术成就及对学科及行业的贡献,重新思考和自省建筑遗产保护教育者及实践者的责任和使命。

Mr.ZANG Erzhong devoted forty years to teaching at the Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture(Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture).He integrated the research achievements of architectural history with practical experiences in ancient architectural conservation,dedicating his life’s knowledge to the cause of ancient building preservation and the education of architectural heritage conservation.He achieved outstanding success in the fields of Chinese architectural history teaching,cultural heritage conservation talent cultivation,and practical preservation of ancient architecture.He was not only a pioneer and guide in architectural heritage conservation education at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture but also a representative figure of historians of historical buildings in China.On the occasion of his centenary,this article reviews his life,academic achievements,and contributions to the discipline and industry,prompting a rethinking and introspection on the responsibilities and mission of educators and practitioners in architectural heritage conservation.
