摘要
梁柏台,1899年9月14日出生於浙江省新昌縣查林村一個普通的農家。新昌位於浙東,舊時封閉保守,梁柏台性情敦厚,9歲始人鄉村私塾讀書識字。梁柏台發蒙較晚,但卻顯示出了異於常人的稟賦,「語能沉著,筆無呆相」。1911年辛亥革命爆發,新昌亦辦起了新式學堂,梁柏台進入離家稍遠的新式學堂,眼界變得更為開闊。
Liang Baitai was born to an ordinary peasant household on September 14,1899,in Chalin Village,Xinchang County,Zhejiang Province.Located in eastern Zhejiang,Xinchang used to be ill-informed and hidebound in the past.Liang,as an honest and simple boy,did not start studying in a rural private school until the age of 9.Although with a late start,he turned out to be extraordinarily gifted with his“placid expression and good writing”.In 1911,the Xinhai Revolution broke out,and Xinchang established new-style schools.Liang was enrolled by one of them slightly far away from home,which broadened his horizon.
