The CPC’s Spirit of Seeking Truth from Facts:an Innovative Development of the Traditional Views on Knowledge and Action

中国文化传统中有着优秀的认识论传统。中国共产党作为中华优秀文化传统的传承者和中国先进文化的创造者,在继承中国优秀的知行观的基础上实现了创新性发展。首先,中国共产党在继承“实事求是”精神的同时给它赋予了马克思主义知行观的内涵。其次,中国共产党提出的一切从实际出发,体现了知和行的具体的历史的统一。再次,中国共产党的知行观,在重视“德性之知”的同时,更加注重“见闻之知”,其重点又在马克思主义理论和中国革命、建设的路线、方针和政策,且强调马克思主义中国化;在践行中华优秀道德的同时,更加注重改造自然和社会的实践。

In Chinese cultural tradition there is an excellent epistemological tradition.As the inheritor of Chinese excellent cultural tradition and the creator of Chinese advanced culture,the CPC has achieved innovative development on the basis of inheriting Chinese excellent view on knowledge and action.First,while inheriting the spirit of“seeking truth from facts”,the CPC endows it with the connotation of Marxist view on knowledge and action.Second,the CPC proposes that everything should proceed from reality,which reflects the specific,historical unity of knowledge and action.Third,the CPC’s view on knowledge and action attaches more importance to“experience knowledge”while emphasizing“moral knowledge”.Its key point lies in Marxist theory,the principle,guideline and policy of Chinese revolution as well as construction,and moreover,in the emphasis on the Sinicization of Marxism.While practicing the excellent moral values of Chinese civilization,it places greater emphasis on transforming nature and society through practical endeavors.
