摘要
本文基于2011年一季度至2021年四季度中国35家上市银行数据,实证分析气候和环境变化对银行系统性风险的影响。研究发现:极端气候与空气污染均显著增加了银行系统性风险;气候和环境变化主要通过信息渠道和资金渠道影响银行系统性风险;银行资本充足率的提高和气候政策不确定性的上升均有利于缓解气候和环境变化对银行系统性风险的不利影响;气候和环境变化对不同类型银行的系统性风险具有异质性影响。
Based on the data from 35 listed banks in China during Q12011-Q42021,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of climate and environmental changes on banks'systemic risk.It is found that both extreme climate and air pollution significantly increase bank systemic risk.Climate and environmental changes affect bank systemic risk mainly through information and capital channels.The increase in banks'capital adequacy ratio and the rise in climate policy uncertainty are conducive to mitigating the adverse impacts of climate and environmental changes on banks'systemic risk;climate and environmental changes have heterogeneous impacts on the systemic risk of different types of banks.
