Private life,as the counterpart of public life,is not only strongly connected to the issue of personal privacy protection,but also intrinsically bound up with the concept of independent and autonomous individual subjectivity.The development of digital communication technology and the emergence of intelligent media has greatly intruded on private life,which was formerly generally respected and protected.We are witnessing the continual weakening of the subjectivity of the natural person in the digital age,as well as the formation of a digital person that corresponds to the physical individual.Innovations in communication technology have allowed intelligent surveillance to intrude in the private sphere in an omnipotent and senseless way,and to have a profound impact on individuals:not only monitoring their immediate past,but also guiding their upcoming behavior.When intelligent surveillance leads individuals into the comfort zone of surveillance,discipline is established.Private life is restructured in time and space as the role of the digital person is strengthened,and this process traps private life in a closed loop under intelligent surveillance.This is why intelligent surveillance and private life are a contemporary topic worth studying.
