在距离孟加拉国首都达卡西南约40公里处,一座大桥巍然算立,这就是被当地人称为“梦想之桥”的帕德玛大桥。这座桥由中国中铁大桥局中标承建,创下中国企业承建的最大海外桥梁工程纪录。时任中铁山桥钢结构制造工艺研究院海外项目室主任的魏明霞,受命担任此项目的总工程师,成为帕德玛大桥13家参建单位唯一的女总工。
Padma Bridge,about 40 kilometers southwest of Dhaka,capital of Bangladesh,is referred to as the"Bridge of Dreams"by locals.Why?It plays an important role in boosting Bangladesh's connectivity and economic development.Wei Mingxia,an engineer with Steel Structure Manufacturing Technology Research Institute,under China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co.,Ltd.,has helped build the bridge.
