piRNA/PIWI在头颈部鳞状细胞癌中的研究进展

Research Progress of piRNA/PIWI in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

piRNA属于小的单链RNA,其5'端含有一个单磷酸基和强尿嘧啶偏向性,其3'端2-OH被甲基化。通常与PIWI蛋白家族成员结合来发挥调节功能。诸多研究表明piRNA/PIWI在多种恶性肿瘤中表达改变预示着截然不同的临床结果,可能作为头颈部鳞状细胞癌发生发展过程中的潜在生物标志物或治疗靶点。鉴于piRNA/PIWI在头颈部鳞状细胞癌中的功能意义仍然未知,本文对piRNA/PIWI的生物功能及其在头颈部鳞状细胞癌中的作用进行综述,旨在为头颈部鳞状细胞癌的诊断及治疗开辟新思路,以期实现肿瘤的早期检测和治疗干预。

piRNA is a small single-stranded RNA,its 5'end contains a single phosphate group and strong uracil bias,and its 3'end 2-OH is methylated.It usually binds to members of the PIWI protein family to exert regulatory functions.Many studies have shown that the expression changes of piRNA/PIWI in a variety of malignant tumors indicate different clinical results,which may be used as a potential biomarker or therapeutic target in the development of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.In view of the functional significance of piRNA/PIWI in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma is still unknown,this article reviews the biological function of piRNA/PIWI and its role in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma,aiming to open up new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma,in order to achieve early detection and treatment intervention of tumors.
