Research Progress of Bone Marrow Edema Syndrome

骨髓水肿综合征(bone marrow edema syndrome,BMES)是发病率较低的一种骨科疾病,病因尚不明确,以髋部最为常见,与股骨头坏死(osteonecrosis of the femoral head,ONFH)临床表现类似,因此常被误诊误治,二者可通过MRI相鉴别。BMES作为一种自限性疾病,骨髓水肿是可逆的,多采用非手术治疗,目标是减轻患者的疼痛,同时缩短临床病程,疾病预后良好。

Bone marrow edema syndrome(BMES)is a kind of orthopedic disease with low incidence,etiology is not clear,most common in the hip,with Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head(ONFH)is similar in clinical presentation,so it is often misdiagnosed and mistreated,the two can be identified by MRI.As a self-limiting disease,BMES is reversible and is usually treated non-surgically.The goal is to reduce the pain of patients and shorten the clinical course of the disease.The prognosis is good.
