Treating Coronary Heart Disease from Five Zang-Organs

冠状动脉粥样硬化性心脏病(冠心病)属中医学“胸痹”范畴。张机的《金匮要略》中提出,胸痹是以胸部闷痛,严重者心痛彻背、喘息不能平卧为临床特点的疾病。历代医家认为,本虚标实是其主要病机,本虚在阳气亏虚,标实为寒凝、气滞、血瘀、痰浊等有形之邪,相兼为病,积聚于心,形成胸痹。其主要病位在心,但与肝、脾、肺、肾密切相关。今从五脏探讨冠心病的发病机制。

Coronary heart disease is a disease of chest impediment in traditional Chinese medicine.Zhang Zhongjing proposes in Synopsis of the Golden Chamber(Jin Gui Yao Lue)that chest impediment is a disease characterized by chest tightness,and severe cases suffer from serious heart pain and wheezing and cannot lie on their back.Physicians in the past dynasties believed that this disease was rooted in the deficiency of yang qi and triggered by cold coagulation,qi stagnation,blood stasis,and phlegm turbidity.The accumulation of these pathogenic factors in the heart leads to chest impediment.The heart is the main pathogenic site of this disease,which also involves the liver,spleen,lung,and kidney.This paper expounds the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease from five zangorgans.
