东方既白——“五星出东方国际美术大展”述评

Dawn in the East:Commentary on the Five Stars Rising in the East International Fine Arts Exhibition

20世纪以来,中国美术的发展尽管充满了曲折,但一直努力向着一个既定的目标前行,这个目标就是以中国的方式创造具有世界意义的艺术,使中国美术屹立于世界艺术之林。经过两个100年的奋斗,中国美术在今天开始逐步显现出其独特性和价值,这在近期于北京举办的“五星出东方国际美术大展”中得到充分展示。此展使我们看到,中国美术已逐步摆脱以往对西方的追随和模仿,开始以独立的眼光审视世界。这既是近现代以来中国美术的发展结果,也体现了新的历史时期的文化自信。

Since the 20th Century,the development of the Chinese art,despite twists and turns,has always striven toward the goal of creating art with world significance in a Chinese way so that the Chinese art can stand tall in artistic world.After 100 years of efforts,the Chinese art has begun to show its uniqueness and value,which was fully demonstrated by the Five Stars Rising in the East International Fine Arts Exhibition held in Beijing recently.This exhibition enables us to realize that the Chinese art no longer follows or imitates the art of the west and has begun to look at the world from an independent perspective.This not only is the result of the development of the Chinese art since the modern times,but also reflects cultural confidence in a new era.
