In this article,transparent paper based materials were introduced,including the transparency mechanism of transparent paper based materials,the main methods for producing transparent paper based materials,and their advantages and disadvantages.Finally,the application prospects of transparent paper based materials were summarized.The high transmittance of transparent paper based materials makes them widely used in electronic substrates,but the high time and energy consumption in their production process is an urgent problem to be solved.
