人类文明的历史演进要在具体的时空环境中才能实现,中华民族现代文明的空间指向必须通过时间得以纵向延续,其时间指向则必须通过空间得以横向展开,两者的耦合共同构成中华民族现代文明的时空环境。一方面,建设中华民族现代文明的“时间轴”指向在传统和现代的结合中克服文化惰性,赋予中国式现代化的文化新形态以更宏阔的历史纵深;另一方面,建设中华民族现代文明的“空间轴”指向在世界文明交融的语境下摆脱“学徒”状态,找到中华民族现代文明的自我定位,并明确自身文明的存在意义以及对世界的可能性贡献。
