Chronic atrophic gastritis is a disease of digestive system that is difficult to treat clinically. It is characterized by high incidence rate and strong recurrence. The etiology is related to Helicobacter pylori infection, immune factors, bile reflux, and heredity.Under the interaction of various factors,it leads to damage to the gastric mucosa and atrophy of the gastric gland.Western medicine treatment can improve symptoms in the short term, but in the long run,it is prone to recurrence.Chief Physician Li Junru has been rooted in high altitude for over 30 years and has a unique theory for treating chronic atrophic gastritis. She proposes that treatment should be based on plateau and adopt a combination of“based on day and hour-distinguishing constitution-identifying symptoms-distinguishing disease syndromes”.She emphasizes the changes in the patient’s tongue and pulse conditions, emphasizes“simultaneous treatment of skin and membrane”,constantly cares for the stomach qi,adjusts the spleen and stomach qi mechanism and formulates clinical plans accordingly.
