广东省槟榔种植现状及产业发展思考

Status Quo and Reflections on Development of Arecanut Plantation in Guangdong Province

槟榔是我国传统“四大南药”之首,广东自古有嚼食槟榔的习俗,粤西地区更是具备种植槟榔的气候条件。通过长期跟踪调研,采集分析数据,结合气候条件发现茂名和雷州地区具有推广种植海南槟榔的潜力,为广东槟榔种植业的发展提供科学依据和建议。另外,海南槟榔黄化病日趋严重,鲜果产量严重下降,广东粤西地区与海南隔海相望,气候因素差异不大,亦有成功种植的经验,可考虑作为槟榔种质资源保存与规模化种植的后备区域。

Arecanut is the foremost of China's traditional"four southern medicines".Chewing arecanut has been a local custom of Guangdong from ancient time and the western region of Guang‐dong possesses the favorable climate conditions for arecanut cultivation.After collecting and analyz‐ing data through long-term tracking research,Maoming and Leizhou was identified as potential areas for popularizing the arecanut cultivation of based on their favorable climate,and accordingly this re‐search laid a scientific foundation and provided suggestions for Guangdong arecanut industry devel‐opment.Additionally,severer yellow leaf disease(YLD)of areca palm in Hainan resulted in a sig‐nificant decrease in arecanut yield.Given the proximity,similar climate conditions of western Guangdong and Hainan and arecanut cultivation experience in western Guangdong,western Guang‐dong can be considered as a potential backup region for arecanut germplasm resources preservation and large-scale cultivation.
