Eat at the right time: Regulation of ER-phagy receptors in plant response to environmental stresses

摘要 The endoplasmic reticulum(ER)is a cellular factory for biosynthesis of proteins and lipids.To accommodate a wide array of biosynthetic demands in responses to environmental stresses,the plant ER remodels to maintain a structural and functional homeostasis.A key process facilitating this balance is selective autophagy of the ER(ER-phagy),where malfunctioned ER is recognized,engulfed by autophagosomes,and then delivered to the vacuole for degradation.
