Accelerate the Construction of a Leading Country in Higher Education with Chinese Characteristics

在党的二十大擘画的全面建成社会主义现代化强国宏伟蓝图中,建设教育强国已经从教育的价值愿景上升为实现中国式现代化的重要支撑和关键因素。发挥高等教育龙头作用,加快推进中国特色高等教育强国建设,迫切需要系统理解教育强国的科学内涵,准确把握中国特色高等教育强国的主要特征,积极应对高等教育强国建设的问题挑战,努力践行高等教育强国建设的初心使命,特别要从落实立德树人根本任务、优化调整布局结构、提升服务高质量发展能力、深化体制机制改革、扩大高水平对外开放、建设高素质专业化教师队伍等六个方面重点发力,走出一条中国特色高等教育强国建设新路。

In the grand blueprint of comprehensively building a modern socialist country outlined by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the goal of constructing a leading country in education has risen from a value vision of education to a crucial support and critical factor in achieving Chinese-style modernization.To fully utilize the prominent role of higher education and accelerate the construction of a leading country in higher education with Chinese characteristics,it is imperative to systematically comprehend the scientific connotation of a leading country in higher education,precisely grasp the main characteristics of a leading country in higher education with Chinese characteristics,proactively address the problems and challenges in constructing a leading country in higher education,and strive to accomplish the original mission of constructing a leading country in higher education.Notably,six key aspects should be prioritized to pave a new path to build a leading country in higher education with Chinese characteristics:implement the fundamental task of moral education,optimize and adjust the layout structure,enhance the capacity to serve high-quality development,further reform systems and mechanisms,expand high-level opening-up to the outside world,and establish a professional and high-caliber faculty team.
