录子俞甗与商末周初的历史

Luziyu Yan and the History of Late Shang and Early Zhou Dynasties

河南省内乡县出土录子俞甗的年代应为商末,器主录子俞应即见于商末周初金文的“王子听”“录子听”及见于清华简的“录子耿”,亦即商末周初的著名历史人物“纣子武庚禄父”,而非故址在今安徽六安的子爵录国首领。“录”是地名兼作族名,“子”系指族长而非爵称,“俞”“听”为其私名,“禄父”系其字,“父己”系录子俞的父辈。传世录伯■簋的“录”与出土太保簋及录子俞甗的“录”应非同一国族,而系位于今安徽六安之古六国,系南淮夷之属,对二者应明确予以区别;录伯■簋的“录伯”与太保簋及录子俞甗的“录子”均无涉,应予以澄清;录伯■应非录子听的后人,不可张冠李戴。

The age of the Luziyu yan unearthed in Neixiang County,Henan Province,should be in the late Shang Dynasty.The owner of the vessel,Luziyu,was“Wugeng Lufu,the son of Zhou”,was a famous historical figure of the late Shang and early Zhou dynasties,known as“Prince Ting”and“Luzi Ting”in the bronze inscriptions of the late Shang and early Zhou dynasties,as well as“Luzi Geng”in the Tsinghua bamboo slips,instead of the head of the Viscount’s State of Lu,whose former site was in present Lu’an,Anhui province.“Lu”is a place name that also serves as a clan name.“Zi”refers to the clan leader rather than a noble title.“Yu”and“Ting”are his private names,“Lufu”is his character,and“Fuji”is the father’s generation of Luziyu.The“Lu”of the handed Lubozhong gui and the“Lu”of the unearthed Taibao gui and Luziyu yan should not be of the same ethnic group,but rather located in the ancient Lu states of present Lu’an,Anhui Province,belonging to the South Huaiyi ethnic group.The two should be clearly distinguished.It also should be clarified that the“Lubo”of Lubo gui is not related to the“Luzi”of Taibao gui and Luziyu yan.Lubozhong should not be the descendant of Luziting,and should not put the boot on the wrong leg.
