弱化随附性:消除排他性论证的一个尝试

Weakening of Supervenience:An Attempt to Eliminate the Argument of Exclusiveness

在排他性论证的所有前提中,随附性是必不可少的,但却是少有被人们反驳的。本文并不是要否定心-身随附性,只是希望对它的含义做出一些修改:保留心理属性依赖于物理属性的基本内涵,但取消物理基础能够充分的使心理属性例示的内涵。我们为此提供了三条理由:首先,已经有一些学者提出过类似思想;其次,这种修改能够消除排他性论证带来的困难;最后,基于韦伯-费希纳定律的思想实验可以支持这种修改。这三条理由足以让这种修改成为一个可供考虑的选项。

Among all the premises on the argument of exclusiveness,supervenience is indispensable but it was rarely refuted.This paper does not aim at denying the mind-body supervenience,but intends to propose a modification to its content:to retain the basic connotation of dependence of mental properties on physical ones,but to eliminate the connotation of sufficiency of physical bases for instantiations of mental properties.We have three reasons for this proposition.Firstly,some scholars have already proposed similar ideas.Secondly,the modification can solve the difficulties brought about by the argument of exclusiveness.Thirdly,the mental experiment based on the Web-Fechner Law can support the modification.The three reasons listed above will suffice to make the modification an option for us.
