坚守还是放弃:关于高等教育学科边界的思考

学科本质上是一种知识分类,学科边界强调不同学科之间的区分。在学科开放时代,学科边界并没有过时,它对于学科独立必不可少。近年来,高等教育学科只谈开放不谈边界,学科边界危机的存在更是大大加剧了高等教育学科的身份危机。高等教育学科边界之所以如此难以确立,与高等教育实践活动的复杂属性、学科内部知识体系的松散化以及单学科知识积累不足密切相关。要建立高等教育学科边界,促使高等教育学早日成为一门独立学科,学界必须对学科研究对象达成共识,划定高等教育学科研究问题域,同时,还需通过学科立场的明确使高等教育学科生成独特的叙事逻辑,并在学科内部形成有利于单学科知识积累的井然有序的知识生产样态。

Discipline is essentially a method of knowledge classification,and the discipline boundary emphasizes the distinction between different disciplines.In the era of discipline openness,the discipline boundary is not outdated,and it is essential for discipline independence.In recent years,the discipline of higher education only celebrates openness without boundaries,and the existence of discipline boundary crisis has greatly aggravated the identity crisis of higher education discipline.The reason why the boundary of higher education is so difficult to establish is closely related to the complex nature of higher education practices,the loosening of knowledge system and the insufficient accumulation of knowledge within the discipline.To establish the discipline boundary of higher education and promote higher education to become an independent discipline as soon as possible,the academic community must reach a consensus on the research object of the discipline and delimit the research problem domain of higher education discipline,and at the same time,it is necessary to generate a unique narrative logic of higher education discipline through the clarification of its disciplinary position,and form an orderly knowledge production pattern that is conducive to the accumulation of knowledge within a single discipline.
