笔者的“四正”,从名分、本义、学理、法律上已弄清Records的含义,但坚持“Records文件观”者依旧质疑:若Records是档案,那Archives是什么?两者并列时又怎么翻译?还有人说Records是记录。既然是英语和法语带来的问题,循着英法档案历史去寻找,才是解铃的关键:以英法八百年档案工作中重要人物和事件为主线,探求其档案的源流、本质、内含及演变,为档案概念正史。

The author's'Four rectifications'has clarified the meaning of Records in terms of name,meaning,reasoning and jurisprudence,but those who insist on the View of'Records as documents'still questioning:if records are'dangan',what are archives?How to translate when the two are juxtaposing?Some people even say that Records are just documenting.Since it is a issue caused by English and French,following the history of English records and French archives is the key to solving the problem that taking the important figures and events in the 800 year records and archives management of England and France as main thread,exploring the origin,essence,content,and evolution of records and archives,and proving their concepts history.
