Dongming County is a north temperate monsoon continental climate,which is mild and dry in spring,hot and humid in summer,more warm and high;autumn high and cool,hot and cool at night;winter cold and windy,falling snow.In this regard,the temperature difference throughout the year is very significant.In January,the lowest temperature is-15℃;in July is the hottest with the highest temperature of 38.8℃;the annual average temperature is 13.7℃.Most sunshine in May,about 262 hours;least in November,about 180 hours;the annual average sunshine is 2587 hours.The annual precipitation is about 630 mm;the longest frost-free period is 242 days,the shortest is 192 days,and an average is 215 days.Therefore,the unique geographical conditions are especially suitable for the growth of temperate plants,such as wheat,corn,sorghum,soybean,peanuts,cotton,melons,fruits and trees.At present,under the background of the new era,it is suggested that our county should actively promote the new technology,so that the wheat quality and yield to maximize the benefits.
