知识翻译学视域下《齐民要术》的数字英译

A Study of the English Translation of Numbers in CH'I MIN YAO SHU from the Perspective of Transknowletology

知识翻译学视域下翻译是地方性知识的世界性认同问题,《齐民要术》中的数字英译是这一典籍地方性知识向世界性知识转化的重要部分。本研究关注《齐民要术》英译本(非全译本)《齐民要术概论》中的数字英译,总结、归纳、分析同义对应英译法、同数相对英译法和比例转换英译法三种数字英译方法。农业典籍的数字表达中蕴含着中国的传统文化内涵,数字英译是农业典籍对外传播的关键之一,处理好数字英译是中国典籍走向世界的重要一步。

From the perspective of Transknowletology,translation isa worldwide identification of local knowledge.The English translation of numbers in Ch'i Min Yao Shu is the important part of the worldwide identification of local knowledge of this ancient book.This study focuses on the English translation of numbers in A Preliminary Survey of the Book CH'I MIN YAO SHU,which is an abbreviated English translation of Ch'i Min Yao Shu,and focuses on the summary,generalization,and analysis of three methods of English translation of numbers:synonymous corresponding translation,equivalent numbers corresponding translation and proportional conversion translation.Expressions of numbers in agricultural classics contain traditional cultural connotations of China.English translation of numbers is one of the key points in the external dissemination of agricultural classics,and handling English translation of numbers is one of the important ways for Chinese classics to spread around the world.
