This special issue presents the studies of Ge Liang's葛亮novels in China,which delve into an interplay between gastronomy and the everyday lives of traditional and contemporary people.Ge Liang,a young Chinese writer who rose to prominence more than a decade ago,has come to demonstrate a heightened level of engagement in recent years,and is particularly renowned for his narratives which encompass the realm of cuisine and its cultural and historical significance in the modern era.
