丈夫外出对留守妻子健康的影响机制研究——基于女性社会角色与家庭角色的视角

A Study on the Influence Mechanism of Husbands'Going Out on the Health of Left-Behind Wives:Based on the Perspective of Women's Social Role and Family Role

健康中国战略的实施需要重点解决好女性的健康问题。伴随着人口流动而产生的留守妻子的健康问题对家庭和社会产生着深远影响。本文利用CHNS 1997—2015年七轮混合截面数据,采用处理效应模型和工具变量法,实证研究了丈夫外出对留守妻子健康的影响及机制。研究发现:(1)丈夫外出使留守妻子健康水平显著下降;(2)丈夫外出虽然通过家庭收入渠道对留守妻子健康产生积极作用,但通过社会角色渠道和家庭角色渠道对留守妻子健康产生负面影响;(3)丈夫外出对城镇留守妻子健康的负面影响更大。

The implementation of the Healthy China Strategy involves focusing on addressing women's health issues.The health concerns of left-behind wives accompanying population mobility have far-reaching impacts on the family and society.Using seven rounds of mixed cross-sectional data from CHNS 1997-2015,this paper empirically investigates the effects and mechanisms of husbands going out on the health of left-behind wives by applying the treatment effects model and instrumental variables method.The research finds that:(1)husbands'migration significantly reduces the health of left-behind wives;(2)although husbands'migration has a positive effect on the health of left-behind wives through the household income channel,it has negative effects on their health through the social role channel and the family role chan-nels;and(3)husbands'migration has a stronger negative impact on the health of urban left-behind wives.
