The construction of smart libraries is in full swing,and smart librarians are an important force in promoting the continuous development of smart libraries.The professional ability and literacy of smart librarians play an extremely important role in the development of smart libraries,and university librarians need to reposition their roles,therefore,studying the transformation and development of the role of university librarians in the smart library environment has certain practical significance.This article analyzes the role transformation of university librarians in the smart library environment,deeply explores the new requirements of information literacy,professional ability,and innovation ability faced by university librarians in the smart environment,and puts forward relevant suggestions for improving the competence of university librarians.
