Professor Wu Shengxian's experience in the treatment of dizziness with the syndrome of qi deficiency

部分头晕患者表现为慢性持续性的非特异性头晕,没有剧烈的视物旋转、恶心呕吐,而是以头晕昏沉,神疲乏力,耳鸣眼花,记忆力下降等气虚症状为主,吴圣贤教授认为此类头晕多属于气虚型头晕。其中医病机除了元气不足,清窍不利之外还有“虚气留滞”和情志致郁,使气机郁滞闭塞进而清阳不升,自拟“补气醒脑汤”治疗此类头晕,取得了良好的临床疗效。

Some patients with dizziness are manifested as chronic and persistent non-specific dizziness in clinic,without a severe visual rotation,nausea and vomiting.Instead,they are mainly characterized by symptoms of qi deficiency such as mild dizziness,fatigue,tinnitus,blurred vision,and decreased memory.Professor Wu Shengxian believes that this type of dizziness belongs to the case with the syndrome of qi deficiency.In addition to deficient primordial qi and blocked clear orifices,its pathogenesis also involves deficiency qi stagnation and anxiety,tension and other psychological and emotional factors that make the qi circulation stagnated and blocked,and further clear yang fail to ascend.He formulates his own formula"Buqi Xingnao Decoction"to treat this kind of dizziness and has acquired a favorable curative effect.
