语料库驱动下的译者风格研究——以《阿Q正传》两英译本为例

Corpus-Driven Study of Translator Style:Taking the Two English Versions of The True Story of Ah Q as an Example

基于自建小型语料库,采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法,从整体可读性、词汇和句子3个层面对梁社乾与蓝诗玲英译《阿Q正传》两译本进行考察。从译者个体差异、翻译目的和时代变化3个角度对译者风格成因进行了分析。发现:蓝诗玲译本词汇丰富度高于梁社亁译本;蓝诗玲译本整体阅读难度大于梁社亁译本,梁社亁译本平均句长大于蓝诗玲译本。整体而言,梁社亁译本风格简单全面,忠实质朴;蓝诗玲译本风格精致简洁,流畅易读。

Based on self-construct corpus,applying quantitative and qualitative research methods,the present study conducts a comparative study on two English visions of The True Story of Ah Q translated by Liang Sheqian and Lan Shiling respectively.The author investigates the two translator's style from overall readability,lexical and syntactic level,then analyzes the reasons why the two translator's styles are different from three perspectives including individual differences among translators,translation purposes,and changes in historical periods.The result shows that Lan's translated version has a richer vocabulary than that of Liang's;in general,the reading difficulty of Lan s translated version is greater than that of Liang's,and the average sentence length of Liang s translated version is greater than that of Lan's.To sum up,Liang's version is faithful and comprehensive while Lan's version is concise and smooth.
