摘要
文明城市在改善城市环境污染治理问题上具有十分重要的作用。选取中国278个地级市2003-2019年的面板数据,利用PSM-DID(倾向得分匹配-双重差分)的方法检验文明城市评选政策对城市环境污染治理的影响。研究发现:“文明城市”评选活动显著降低了地级市约9.87%的二氧化硫排放总量,促进了城市环境治理;“文明城市”评选活动可以通过增加科学支出来改善城市环境污染治理;科学支出在文明城市评选对城市环境治理中发挥中介效应。
Civilized city plays a very important role in improving urban environmental pollution control.Selecting the panel data of 278 prefecture-level cities in China from 2003 to 2019,the PSM-DID(propensity score matching-differences-in-differences)method is used to test the impact of civilized city selection policy on urban environmental pollution control.The research found that the selection of“civilized city”significantly reduced the total sulfur dioxide emissions of prefecture-level cities by about 9.87%,and promoted urban environmental governance.The selection of“civilized cities”can improve urban environmental pollution control by increasing scientific expenditure.The mediating effect of scientific expenditure in the selection of civilized cities on urban environmental governance.
