行动者网络视域下的译者-读者合作翻译--以《大唐双龙传》英译为例

Translator-Reader Collaboration in Translation Within the Framework of Actor-Network Theory:A Case Study on the English Translation of Datang Shuanglong Zhuan

随着翻译社交平台的发展,翻译活动呈现出即时互动和反馈的社交化特征。本文以译者和读者互动频率较高的《大唐双龙传》的网络翻译为例,探讨了互联网社交平台翻译行动者网络的基本特征。研究发现,译者-读者合作翻译网络得以构建并实现动态稳定主要依赖于“问题化”“兴趣化”“招募”和“动员”四个步骤的循环往复。在此过程中,译者和读者共同修正翻译错误、弥补译文信息并解决翻译难题。另外,随着深度交流的增加,合作翻译网络逐渐发展为文化交流和传播的合作网络。合作翻译行动者网络弥补了译者在源语和源语文化方面的知识欠缺,使得译文的质量得到一定监督和保障,同时也推动了中国文化的对外传播。

As translation-themed social platforms evolve,translation activities are featured by real-time interaction and feedback.This article,with frequent translator-reader interaction in the online Chinese-English translation of Datang Shuanglong Zhuan on the social platform as a case,explores the fundamental characteristics of the translation actor-network.The study discovers that the construction and maintenance of a dynamically stable translator-reader collaborative network lies in the cycle of"problematization","interestingness","enrollment",and"mobilization".In the cycle,the translators and readers collaborate to rectify translation errors,supplement missing information in translations,and resolve translation challenges.Besides,with an increase in in-depth discussions,the collaborative translation network advances into the network for cultural exchange and dissemination.This collaborative translation network within the actor-network theory compensates for the translator's insufficient understanding of the source language and culture,ensuring translation quality and facilitating the communicationof Chineseculture.
