新世纪以来中国话剧研究的成果,超过了改革开放以来新时期话剧研究的20多年。这主要体现在以“中国话剧研究”为主题的国家社会科学基金课题立项与国内顶级期刊发文的数量与质量上。中国话剧研究发展的重要大学和学院以及研究机构(主要是指有博士点的机构)以及领军人物构成了中国话剧研究的主要力量,在中国话剧研究上取得了丰硕的成果。在中国话剧研究中,近年来在话剧文献研究方面,有了长足的发展,为其发展奠定了基础,在文献研究的基础上,中国话剧研究从剧本研究向舞台转型;从单一研究向综合研究转型;从本学科研究向跨学科研究发展。

Chinese Drama study in the 21st century has surpassed that of the two decades since the reform and opening-up.This is evidenced by the proliferation of national social science projects focused on"Chinese Drama Research"and the notable quality and quantity of articles published in top academic journals.The driving forces behind Chinese Drama are prestigious universities,colleges,and research institutions,particularly those with doctoral programs,along with seasoned scholars who have made significant contributions to the field.Their collective efforts have yielded fruitful results.In academia,substantial progress has been made in literature reviews,laying a solid foundation for the study.Recent developments have seen a shift in research focus from script analysis to stage performance,embracing a comprehensive approach,signifying a departure from singular perspectives and a move towards interdisciplinary studies.
