住房财富对儿童抑郁症状的影响:财富效应的中介机制

Study on the Impact of Housing Wealth on Children's Depressive Symptoms Based on Mediating Mechanisms Vealth Effects

目的:探究家庭住房财富对儿童抑郁症状的代际影响。方法:利用中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)面板数据,通过混合截面线性回归模型、固定效应模型研究了家庭住房财富对儿童子女抑郁症状的影响,并使用逐步回归、Bootstrap方法探究财富效应在其中的中介机制。结果:家庭住房财富的增多能够缓解儿童的抑郁症状(β=-0.351,P<0.001),同时,住房财富也会通过增加家庭享受型消费支出(β=0.231,P<0.001)而缓解儿童抑郁症状(β=-0.333,P<0.001)。Bootstrap结果显示住房财富影响儿童抑郁症状的直接效应为-0.588(P<0.001),享受型消费支出的间接效应为-0.091(P<0.001)。结论:住房财富对儿童抑郁症状存在缓解作用,财富效应在其中起到中介效应。学校和社区应着重关注低住房财富家庭儿童的心理健康问题,为其子女制定相应的健康干预措施。

Objective To investigate the intergenerational effects of household housing wealth on children's depressive symptoms.Methods Data of CFPS were used to investigate the effects of housing wealth on childrens depression symptoms by OLS models and fixed effects models.And the mediating mechanism of wealth effect was explored by using step-by-step regression method and Bootstrap test.Results Housing wealth has a significant effect on children's depressive symptoms(β=-0.351,P<0.001),and it can alleviate children's depressive symptoms(β=-0.333,P<0.001)by increasing family enjoyable consumer spending(β=0.231,P<0.001).Moreover,the directed effect is-0.588(P<0.001),and the indirect effect is-0.091(P<0.001).Conclusion Housing wealth has a mitigating effect on childrens depressive symptoms,in which the wealth effect plays a mediating role.Schools and communities should focus on the mental health of children from families with low property wealth and develop appropriate health interventions for their children.
