汪榕培《诗经》英译中的“赋比兴”

The“Fu Bi Xing”in the English Translation of Wang Rongpei’s“Book of Songs”

在本研究中,笔者采用了叶嘉莹的心物论作为研究方法,将“心”理解为作者的主观认知和表达方式,将“物”理解为原文中的环境、背景等客观要素,以分析汪榕培的《诗经》翻译。通过主客观的统一,探讨汪榕培译本的准确性、贴近度、对于《诗经》研究的意义等方面的问题,以期对于汪榕培的《诗经》翻译以及《诗经》研究领域做出一定的贡献。在传统诗学中,作为“诗之法”的“赋比兴”手法,具有不可忽视的作用,它不仅是一种简单的艺术表现方法,而是一个内涵非常丰富,且具有特殊性的诗学理念。汪榕培的译本很好地把握住了英文诗歌的结构和节奏,使得原文中庞杂的画面变得整洁和有条理,这是其译诗的难能可贵的优点。

In this study,the author will analyze Wang Rongpei’s translation of the Book of Songs with the research method of Ye Jiaying’s mind-matter theory.The“mind”in this study will be understood as the author’s subjective cognition and expression,and the“material”as the environment,background and other objective elements in the original.Through the unity of subjective and objective,this study will investigate Wang Rongpei’s translation accuracy,faithfulness and significance of studying the Book of Songs so as to contribute to Wang Rongpei’s translation and the research field of the Book of Songs.In the traditional poetics,“Narrative,Analogy,and Association”as an expressive technique of the“method of poetry”plays an important role.It is not only an artistic expression method,but also a poetic concept with rich connotations and particularity.While Wang Rongpei’s translation has grasped the structure and rhythm of English poetry to make the complicated scene in the original neat and well-organized.This is an admirable advantage of his poetry translation.
