现代性的流行方案出自西方。在西方国家内部,现代性不是单一的,有源自世界各地的现代性要素;在全球范围内,现代性结构的多元态势更令人瞩目。前者可以从早期现代性的视角理解,后者则需要从成熟现代性的角度定位。现代性之多元,不在要素-因素上确定,而在结构-体系上呈现。多元现代性之间如何相处、怎样磨合、有否共识、能否协调,成为人类面对多元现代性处境的难题。多元现代性的冲突论曾经流行,多元性的对话论相应成形。多元现代性之间不应以各自独立、独自坚持的方式相处。需要在多元现代性的冲突、对话与共识、互融中善待彼此,并形成平等的国际秩序。基于国际正义、世界主义的多元现代性,可能是解决多元现代性的共识问题的一个出路。

The popular schemes of modernity originate from the West.Within the western countries,modernity is not monolithic,rather,it incorporates elements of modernity originating from all over the world.On a global scale,the plurality of the structure of modernity is even more remarkable.The former can be understood from the perspective of early modernity,while the latter needs to be positioned from the perspective of mature modernity.The plurality of modernity is not determined in terms of elements-factors but demonstrated in terms of structure-system.The coexistence of pluralistic modernity should not coexist in an independent and persistent manner.Instead,it is necessary to treat each other well in the conflicts and dialogues,and to form an international order of equality.Pluralistic modernity based on international justice and cosmopolitanism may be a way out to solve the consensus issues.
