Chinese Language Education and Dissemination of Chinese Culture in Malaysia

作为海外华文教育发展程度最高的国家,马来西亚华文教育发展不仅充实了住在国经济社会发展对人力资本的需求,还在强化海外华人的中华文化认同,凝聚海外华人的族群意识,提升中华文化传播力、影响力等方面具有重要意义。当前马来西亚华文教育正面临在校生规模持续减少的现实挑战。文章基于对马来西亚华人学龄人口的预测,探讨人口结构变化对未来华文教育的影响,据此提出马来西亚华文教育应在大华文教育理念指引下,采取扩大生源范围、采用灵活教育形式、发挥华文媒体作用和加强师资交流等举措,以期更好促进中外文明交流互鉴、推动中华文化传播。

As the country with the most developed level of overseas Chinese language education,the development of Chinese language education in Malaysia not only enriches the demand for human capital for the economic and social development of the host country but also has significant importance in strengthening the Chinese cultural identity of overseas Chinese,the cohesion of the ethnic consciousness of overseas Chinese,and the influence of Chinese culture.Chinese language education in Malaysia is currently facing the challenge of a continuous decline in the number of enrolled students.The article discusses the impact of demographic changes on the future of Chinese language education in Malaysia,based on the prediction of the school-age population of Chinese.It proposes that Malaysian Chinese language education should take measures such as expanding the scope of student sources,adopting a flexible form of education,giving full play to the role of Chinese language media,and strengthening teacher exchanges under the guidance of the concept of greater Chinese language education.These measures aim to facilitate exchanges and mutual understanding between Chinese civilization and other civilizations and promote the dissemination of Chinese culture.
