侯莫陈氏族源书写新探

A New Exploration of the Writing of the Origins of the Houmo Chen Clan

族源书写是胡族融入汉族社会、淡化自身种族身份的汉化手段之一,表现为胡族通过改易姓氏、嫁接世系、攀附汉人祖先和郡望,以“源出于汉”的族源书写形成族源认同。北朝隋唐时期侯莫陈氏家族在反复改易姓氏的过程中与刘姓产生密切联系,利用刘姓的祖先资源建构了源出于刘、避难入边的历史。透过侯莫陈氏墓志的族源记载,可以历史性“复原”侯莫陈氏攀附汉人族源的过程。族源书写的内容呈现出愈是晚出、愈加精密的特征,这一知识整合过程反映出侯莫陈氏家族对于汉文化的认识不断加深、认同感不断增强的发展脉络。

Ethnic writing is one of the means of Sinicization used by the Hu people to integrate into Han society and dilute their ethnic identity,which is manifested in the fact that the Hu have changed their family name,grafted their lineage,and attached themselves to Han ancestors and counties in order to form an ethnic identity through the writing of their ethnicity as"originating from the Han".During the Sui and Tang dynasties,the Houmo Chen family had close contact with the Liu family name in the process of changing their family name repeatedly,and utilized the ancestral resources of the Liu family name to construct a history of originating from Liu and taking refuge in the border.With the records of the origin of the Houmo Chen's tombstone,it is possible to historically"restore"the process of the Houmo Chen's attachment to the Han Chinese origin.The content of the genealogical writing shows the characteristic that the later it came out the more sophisticated it became,and this process of knowledge integration reflects the development of the Houmo Chen family's deepening understanding of Han culture and increasing sense of identity.
