元宇宙时代高校图书馆的变革与发展

The Reform and Development of University Library in the Era of Metaverse

元宇宙是继RFID后融入图书馆的新技术力量。文章由高校图书馆馆员对这股新势力的迷茫展开,简述元宇宙在图书馆的理论和实践研究历史,诠释“图书馆元宇宙”和“元宇宙图书馆”两个不同的概念,两者在智慧图书馆建设中的准确定位。文中用理论联系实际的方法,论述元宇宙给图书馆带来的一系列变化。它包括:“一站式”借还图书;个性化云上PDA;精准评估数据库绩效;读者阅读能力展示“舞台”扩大;机构知识库资源内容多元化;读者创造体验与知识产权意识增强。文章最后强调:面对元宇宙的挑战,高校图书馆领导和馆员都需要在理论学习与服务实践中积蓄力量,才能借力元宇宙迎接全智慧图书馆。

Metaverse is a new technical force integrated into the library after RFID.For removing the confusion of university librarians about this new force,this paper briefly describes the history of theoretical and practical research on the metaverse in the library,and explains the two different concepts of“library and metaverse”and“metaverse library”to identify their accurate positioning in the construction of smart libraries.By integrating theory with practice,it discusses a series of changes brought by metaverse on libraries,which include“one-stop”borrowing and returning books,personalized cloud PDA,accurate evaluation of database performance,expansion of the“stage”to display readers’reading ability,diversification of institutional knowledge base resources,and enhancement of readers’creative experience and intellectual property awareness.Besides,it also emphasizes that in order to better build a smart library with the help of the metaverse,library staff need to accumulate adequate knowledge from theoretical studies and service practices to face the challenges of the metaverse.
