On the Basis for the Development of Ancient Poetry:Preface to Rituals, Customs, and the Evolution of Pre-Qin Poetry

《礼俗仪式与先秦诗歌演变》一书从历史文化等理论方面对先秦文学尤其是诗歌研究进行了总结。通过礼俗仪式探索、考察上古诗歌的发展,可以看到更早的诗歌存在、演进的情形,亦可了解从春秋前期至战国之末我国诗歌发展中缺环一段的大体状况。

The book Rituals,Customs,and the Evolution of Pre-Qin Poetry provides a comprehensive summary of the research on pre-Qin literature,particularly poetry,from the perspectives of historical and cultural theories.Through an exploration of rituals and customs and an examination of the development of ancient poetry,we are able to observe the existence and evolution of early poetry,as well as gain insight into the overall progress of Chinese poetry from the early Spring and Autumn Period to the end of the Warring States.
