摘要
作为影史上最著名的批评概念之一的“作者策略”,始终会与特吕弗以及《电影手册》难解难分,但一个不容忽视却动辄被略去的事实是,巴赞对该策略的组成要素及其被践行的方式,态度向来游移不定,暧昧有余。不过,或许正是这一份与其助产士式的人格特质、处世之道、运思仪轨互为表里的暧昧和游移,让巴赞竭力揭橥的“脉络化的作者策略”最终有望化作抵御弥漫整个20世纪50年代的电影之死声浪的绝佳药方,进而催生出新浪潮电影这一“贫瘠的大写的艺术”。
As(one of)the most influential,if not notorious,critical theory and despite its enduring connection with Francois Truffaut and Cahiers du cinema,the"politique des auteurs"does nevertheless undergo an ambiguous transformation thanks to Andre Bazin,co-founder of the legendary French monthly and spiritual father of the term's inventor.Through a series of diplomatic savoir-faire in tune with his personality,tolerant,generous,and most important of all,maieutic,and his bilateral method intending to convince while comprehending,Bazin broadened the horizon and nuanced the dogmatism of the politique practiced by the"Young Turks"by introducing the historical consciousness as well as a mythological imagination.Retrospectively,it could be believed that it was exactly this contextualized,therefore extended and enhanced,version of Truffaut's polemical project that promised the forthcoming nouvelle vague against the 1950s,a period apocalyptically dominated by the death of cinema.
