摘要
近代来华传教士对中国社会的记录呈现了彼时生动的风俗图景,禄是遒和卢国祥对中国婚丧、岁时风俗的书写在“基督教中心主义”“对佛教和道教的批判”“中国文化的包容性”“认知的‘碎片化’”“对中国民众思想和情感的观察”等方面具有共通之处;而在“文本体裁”“文本风格”“分析具体意象的理念和思路”“对‘符箓’和‘俗语’的记录”“地域化特色”和“自我批判”等方面又有明显区别。他们对中国社会“他者视阈”的考察折射出中国在现代化转型过程中所面临的冲击及其回应。同时,二者的著述对西方社会产生了一定影响,实现了“文化互化”。
The records of Chinese society by missionaries to China in modern times present a vivid picture of the customs of the time.The writings of Henri Doréand Rudolph Pieper on Chinese marriage and mourning and the customs of the year share commonalities in terms of“Christian centrism”,“criticism of Buddhism and Taoism”,“inclusiveness of Chinese culture”,“‘fragmentation'of perceptions”and“observations on the thoughts and feelings of the Chinese people”,and show obvious differences in terms of“the genres of the text”,“the styles of the text”,“the concepts and ideas of analyzing specific imagery”,“the records of the‘talisman'and‘proverb'”,“the characteristics of regionalization”and“the self-criticism”.Their examinations of the“Otherness”of Chinese society reflects the impact of and response to China's modernization and transformation process.At the same time,their writings have had an impact on Western societies and have achieved“the transculturation”.
