Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tang Herb combined with antiretroviral therapy(ART)in the treatment of AIDS patients with poor immune reconstitution. Methods A total of 247 patients with poor immune function reconstruction of AIDS who were treated in Guiyang Public Health Clinical Center from June 2021 to December 2022 were collected.Among them,70 patients were treated with antiretroviral therapy, and 177 patients were treated with Tang Herb on the basis of maintaining their original antiretroviral therapy regimen. The test period was 6 months. The general data of the patients and the safety and efficacy indicators such as CD4^(+)T lymphocyte count,HIV viral load, liver and kidney function during treatment were collected. Results The CD4^(+)T lymphocyte count increased in the combined treatment group.Patients with CD4^(+)T lymphocyte count less than 200 cells/μL had the largest increase in CD4^(+)T lymphocyte count after treatment. The improvement of immune function in the combined treatment group was better than that in the ART group. The viral load during treatment was lower than the detection limit. Conclusion AIDS patients with poor immune function reconstruction combined with Tang Herb on the basis of maintaining the original ART regimen can improve the poor immune function reconstruction of patients, and can reduce the adverse reactions of antiviral drugs and improve the quality of life of patients.
