In this study,a novel competitive electrochemical sensor based on the transition metal carbide-methylene blue-complementary DNA probe(MXene-MB-cDNA)was developed for the detection of the heavy metal cadmium ion(Cd^(2+)).The sensor is partially based on the MXene layered structure to enhance the MB loading rate, which amplifies the electrochemical detection signal; The other part involves using a Cd^(2+)Apt modified on the electrode as a linker to connect MXene-MB-cDNA.When Cd^(2+)is present,it competes with cDNA for binding to Apt,causing a change in the double-stranded structure and generating an electrochemical signal. The lowest detection limit is 0.034 mg·L^(-1) and it shows good linearity in the range of 0.01 to 1.6 mg·L-1(R^(2)=0.991).Compared to traditional methods, this method is more simple and sensitive, providing a new approach for the detection of cadmium ions in research areas such as environmental protection, food safety, and biomedical sciences.
