数字经济、营商环境与西部地区制造业服务化

Digital Economy,Business Environment and Servitization of Manufacturing Industry in China′s Western Region

本文基于2001—2020年西部12个省份面板数据,对数字经济、营商环境与西部地区制造业服务化水平之间的影响关系开展实证研究。研究发现,数字经济可以显著促进西部地区制造业服务化升级,并且数字经济能通过“提高政府财政分权程度”促进西部地区制造业服务化升级,异质性结果显示其政府财政分权越高,此中介效应越明显。同时,数字经济还能通过“刺激非国有经济发展”提高西部地区制造业服务化水平,但市场化进程的中介效应未能充分体现;异质性检验表明,与西北地区相比,数字经济对西南地区制造业服务化的促进作用更明显。上述发现为深入理解数字经济与西部地区制造业服务化之间关系,并在此基础上完善西部地区相关数字经济发展政策,促进西部地区经济协调高质量发展提供了新的视角和经验证据。

Based on the panel data of 12 provinces in China′s western region from 2001 to 2020,this paper conducts an empirical study on the relationship among digital economy,business environment and servitization of manufacturing industry in China′s western region.The results show that the digital economy can significantly facilitate the upgrading of service transformation of manufacturing industry in China′s western region and further promoting it by“increasing the degree of fiscal decentralization”.Heterogeneous results demonstrate that the higher the fiscal decentralization,the more obvious the mediating effect is.At the same time,the digital economy can also improve the service level of manufacturing industry in the region by“stimulating the development of non-state-owned economy”,but the mediating effect of marketization process is not fully reflected.Heterogeneity test shows that compared with China′s northwest region,digital economy plays a more obvious role in promoting manufacturing service in China′s southwest region.The above findings provide a new perspective and empirical evidences for a deep understanding of the relationship between digital economy and servitization of manufacturing industry in China′s western region,which can help improve the digital economy development policies and the coordinated and high-quality economic development in China′s western region.
