Expression and clinical significance of IL-37 in invasive breast carcinoma

目的:探讨IL-37在浸润性乳腺癌(Invasive breast carcinoma, IBC)中的表达及临床意义。方法:回顾性分析2014年1月26日—2021年6月19日于东莞东华医院确诊为浸润性乳腺癌的104例患者的临床资料,免疫组化方法检测IL-37在浸润性乳腺癌中的表达,并分析其与Nottingham组织学分级、分子分型、组织学类型、雌激素受体(Estrogen receptor,ER)、孕激素受体(Progesterone receptor,PR)、细胞增殖核抗原(Cell proliferating nuclear antigen,Ki-67)、人表皮生长因子受体2(Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2,HER2)、表皮生长因子受体(Epidermal growth factor receptor,EGFR)、年龄等的关系。结果:IL-37在IBC中的表达,IL-37阴性10例(9.61%)、低表达25例(24.04%)、高表达69例(66.35%)。IL-37在IBC中与ER(r=0.468,P<0.001)、PR(r=0.354,P=0.002)表达呈正相关,与Ki-67(r=-0.324,P=0.001)、EGFR(r=-0.388,P=0.001)表达及组织学分级(r=-0.557,P<0.001)、分子分型(r=-0.521,P<0.001)呈负相关,与组织学分型、HER2表达及年龄无明显相关性(P>0.05)。结论:IL-37的表达与浸润性乳腺癌的激素受体表达、组织学分级及分子分型等临床病理特征密切相关。

Objective:To investigate the expression of IL-37 and its clinical significance in invasive breast carcinoma(IBC).Methods:The clinical data of 104 patients with invasive breast carcinoma diagnosed in Dongguan Tungwah Hospital from January 26,2014 to June 19,2021 were retrospectively analyzed.The expression of IL-37 in IBC was detected by immunohistochemical method,and its correlation with Nottingham histological grading(hereinafter referred to as histological grading),molecular subtypes,histological type,estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),cell proliferating nuclear antigen(Ki-67),human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2),epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),and age were analyzed.Results:The results showed that the expression of IL-37 was negative in 10 cases(9.61%),low in 25 cases(24.04%),and high in 69 cases(66.35%)in IBC.The expression of IL-37 in IBC was positively correlated with the expression of ER(r=0.468,P<0.001)and PR(r=0.354,P=0.002),and negatively correlated with Ki-67(r=-0.324,P=0.001),EGFR(r=-0.388,P=0.001),histological grading(r=-0.557,P<0.001)and molecular subtypes(r=-0.521,P<0.001).There was no significant correlation between IL-37 and histological type,HER2 expression,and age(P>0.05).Conclusion:The expression of IL-37 is closely related to the clinicopathological characteristics of IBC,such as the expression of hormone receptors,histological grading and molecular subtypes.
