摘要
采用绘画、文字描述、访谈等方式,调查了合肥市初中七、八、九年级共计93名学生的生物学家形象认识。多数学生的生物学家形象为39岁以下男性,穿着实验服(在实验室)进行实验、观察、研究活动,身边常有试管、显微镜。学生的生物学家认识表现出性别倾向、年轻化、较多的实验室场景。学生对生物学家的正面印象并没有全部转化为从事生物职业的意愿。中学生物教育应改善学生对生物学家的性别倾向,客观认识成为生物学家的因素,适当补充野外工作场景,帮助学生正确认识生物学家的工作性质,从而提升从事生物职业的意愿。
Through methods such as drawing,written descriptions,and interviews,this study investigated the perception of biologists among a total of 93 students in Grade 7 through 9 at a junior high school in Hefei.The majority of students perceive biologists as males under the age of 39,wearing lab coats while conducting experiments,observations,and research activities in the laboratory,often surrounded by test tubes and microscopes.Students’perceptions of biologists exhibit gender bias,a tendency towards youthfulness,and a predominance of laboratory scenes.However,not all positive impressions of biologists among students translate into a willingness to pursue careers in biology.It is suggested that middle school biology education should address gender biases in students’perceptions of biologists,provide a more objective understanding of the factors involved in becoming a biologist,appropriately supplement outdoor work scenarios,and help students develop a more accurate understanding of the nature of biologists’work,thereby increasing their willingness to pursue careers in biology.
