The importance of scientific collaboration has become evident in promoting scientific research, and its credit allocation has not received sufficient attention from the academic community.Studying the rules of co-authorship is conducive to revealing the mechanism of contributorship and credit allocation in scientific collaboration from a microscopic perspective.Using a sample of co-authored papers published in the journal Library and Information Service from 2015 to 2021,this article analyzes the factors influencing co-authorship credit allocation in terms of intellectual contribution and status using logistic regression. The study suggests that three intellectual activities,i.e.research design, writing the manuscript, and finalizing the paper, and author status have a significant impact on credit allocation;while the effect of writing supervision, data collection, and technical support is no longer significant when authorship status is controlled. The results show that the credit allocation in domestic scientific collaboration is jointly influenced by intellectual contributions and status;and relevant institutions should fully consider the impact of differences in author status on the credit allocation in the process of formulating scientific evaluation policies,in order to create a good ecological environment for scientific collaboration.
