艾山前怀下马家、回兵崖一带盛产小米。传说,那里的小米粒大、皮薄、糠少、色黄,熬出的小米稀饭油光光、香喷喷,还带点甜丝丝的味儿。早些穷,买不起很多,哪家媳妇生孩坐月子,至少也得去买个三斤五斤的,才算没白遭这回罪。时间长了,艾山小米出了名,远近没有不知道的,方圆百里的人家包括城里人,也都到下马家赶集买小米。直到如今,艾山小米也比别处的一斤多卖好几毛钱。

The area around Xiamajia and Huibingya on the south of Aishan Mountain is famous for quality millet.It is said that the millet produced there has large grains,thin skin,little bran,and yellow color.The porridge cooked with the millet is shiny in color,fragrant in smell,and slightly sweet in taste.
