In 2021,a robotic 3D-printed book cabin was offcially opened in Shanghai.Built entirely in-situ with robotic 3D-printing technology,the book cabin is part of the"Art Bridge"space,serving as a venue for book displays and academic discussions.The project demonstrates the transition from digital design to intelligent construction,exploring how 3D concrete printing technology can revolutionise architects'design thinking.This book cabin,exemplifying intelligent construction through 3D printing,showcases material and labour efficiency,high construction speed,the ability to create irregular shapes,and assurance of architectural qualiy.
