摘要
莎士比亚戏剧堪称世界文学中的瑰宝,是人类戏剧艺术的巅峰之作。然而目前我国对莎士比亚戏剧的研究多集中在悲剧和喜剧,对其历史剧的研究相对薄弱,对《亨利五世》翻译的研究更为鲜见。自从我国1916年首次译介《亨利五世》以来,该历史剧多次被复译,翻译体裁、翻译语言、翻译策略和标准发生了巨大的衍变。本文旨在对《亨利五世》在中国的翻译历程进行综述,梳理归纳100余年来《亨利五世》汉译的进展和特点,运用勒菲弗尔的操控理论,剖析其汉译发生衍变背后隐藏的原因,旨在推动莎士比亚历史剧翻译研究的进一步拓展。
The Playwrights of William Shakespeare(1564-1616)are treasures of the world literature and enjoy a world-wide reputation.However,studies of Shakespeare's plays in China are focused on his tragedies and comedies,while research on historical drama is relatively weak and on the translation of The Life of King Henry Vis rarer.Since the first translation of The Life of King Henry Vin China in 1916,the historical play has been retranslated many times with tremendous variations in translation style translation language,translation strategies and standards.This paper aims to summarize the progress and characteristics of the Chinese translation of The Life of King Henry Vin the past 10o years,and analyze the reasons behind its retranslation based on the manipulation theory of Andre Lefevere in hope of promoting the development of research on the translation of Shakespeare's historical plays.
