缘起。灯塔是为船舶安全服务的助航设施中的一种,在漫长的历史中,它的建设从民间自发逐渐向政府主导过渡。近代在海关总税务司赫德的主持下,以船钞作为建设经费,引进外国灯塔设备,使灯塔建设走向了有序化、规模化。与此相关的航道和港口管理也都得到空前加强。

As the navigational aid facility,lighthouses have experienced a process from the traditional folk fund-raising and sporadic establishment to the large-scale establishment by the government systematically in modern times.In modern times,the number and technology of lighthouses in China were greatly improved under the guidance of the government.The keepers are important support behind the light of lighthouses,of whom the number increased steadily,including native and foreign staff in modern times.It found that the lighthouse itself was a convergence of modern science and engineering technology through oral interview to domestic lighthouse family combined with literature investigation.However,due to the few people on the lighthouse,with the restrictions of environment,transportation and so on,the life and daily work of keepers are repetitive,monotonous and dangerous.Moreover,this degree weakened with the development of material civilization in the whole society.Social and political activities had little influence on the keepers in modern times.Nevertheless,the lighthouse became one of the primary targets in the war.The degree on brightness and shadow of this job in the lighthouse family’s dictation is closely related to the publicity and media exposure of the family.
